The Catholic Diocese of Cleveland and dioceses across the country have been asked by the leadership of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops to hold an emergency second collection for the people and the Church impacted by Hurricane Matthew which devastated significant parts of the Southeast coast of the United States and some countries in the Caribbean, especially Haiti. Many government and social aid agencies, especially Catholic Charities and Catholic Relief Services have been working tirelessly to bring comfort and relief to tens of thousands affected by this disaster. In support of this major relief effort, a special collection will take place on the weekend of November 12-13. All checks should be make payable to Our Lady Queen of Peace with the check memo marked 2016 Hurricane Matthew Relief Collection. Thank you for your help and support of this most urgent effort.
