Continues to meet the need of those in need of food; we distribute 25-35 boxes on the first Saturday of every month. This is possible because of the 2 food drives the parish holds, the Stamp Out Hunger run by the postal carriers, the 2 Scouting for Food drives that the Boy Scouts Troop 152 and Cub Scout Pack 152 held for us. We also receive food donations from the Midview School and Christian Unity Church Vacation Bible School. This past year we have received grant monies from Second Harvest Food Bank and LCCA. Sparkle continues to support us with products that will soon expire. These items along with vegetables from the Reintegration Center allows us to set up a “Market” that allows the families to select extra item that they can use.
How Can you Help?
Food Pantry occurs the same dates as Helping Hands meetings the first Saturday of every month. You can help by donating food or making a monetary donation to our food drives. Also, non-perishable food items can be placed in the donation box located in the church Gathering Area at any time.
